Custom BIOS
With EOS windows boots so fast that the BIOS POST (Power-On Self-Test) is usually by far the longest delay in system bootup. It is quite possible to have a BIOS that takes 25 seconds to POST followed by a 5 second boot into Windows. What are your customers looking at?
LitePC Technologies has experience customizing Award BIOS binaries to install fullscreen 256 colour BIOS splash screens. We can also remove all on-screen text and prevent user acccess to BIOS setup functions. All BIOS options can be set to desired specifications for the system so that in many cases the BIOS battery on the motherboard can be REMOVED and the system will boot to the specified default configuration every time without user intervention. This eliminates costly support from you later on replacing dead batteries and reconfiguring failed systems.
